The name Alline is derived from the Germanic name Adalheidis, which means "noble" or "noble type". It has its roots in the Old High German language, originating around the 6th to 11th centuries AD. The name was popular among the Germanic tribes, particularly the Franks and Saxons, who inhabited parts of modern-day Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
